As if this week could get more awesome...OH HOLY CRAP IT DID
So, can I just say that I've been smiling so much, as in I just can't stop smiling, that my face kind of hurts a bit. I woke up and BAM smile on my face. Awesome.
Where did I leave off? Sunday night? Well we have a lot to cover then, in OPERATION: DIANA LIKES A BOY...episode 3.
Tonight's episode begins with Diana slaving away at her job as Student Leader in the Deli at the Caf. Having found herself without her usual student slave...er worker, she is forced to handle a crazy Midterm-week late night rush while simultaneously cleaning. Josh arrives. And then HE FLIRTS WITH HER. The whole "can you make a sandwich? you put on what you think I should have, something good" followed by me being all for the love of God dont screw up this sandwich! and then asking him "um, do you like blah blah?" to which he replies "i've never had it, but go ahead put it on. whatever you put on this im sure ill like it"
Aaaaand eye contact and smiles. Awesome.
Granted, this is a relatively small ordeal. But when coupled with TUESDAY....
Tuesday I went over to Co-Ed to watch Reign Over Me with J Snydes, (its a good movie btw, awesome Shadows of the Colossus references too!) and Alyssa had no homework so she came along. We were watching it in CF office/hangout space when low and behold Josh shows up with one of his 2A guys to play ping pong. Iiiiim pretty sure his face lights up when he sees me, could be just me but J Snydes agrees. I ask him if he's going to Proclaim and he says he forgot about it, but we basically agreed to go walk over to alumni together.
Fast forward to then and we (josh alyssa and I) walk over to Alumni and as Alyssa puts it "they chit-chatted the whole way !" We get to Proclaim and its kind of awkward because Im not sure if he usually goes, and or if theres people he usually stands with etc. So we talk for a bit and then he eventually wanders to some other people, and Im like "cool, i guess he probably comes to proclaim with them usually" but THEN HE COMES BACK. TO STAND NEXT TO ME. FOR THE ENTIRE PROCLAIM. This is important because at Proclaim that night we had a guest singer/rapper dude Agape, and at one point he told us to hug 4 people around us, MEANING I GOT A HUG FROM JOSH. Im not a touchy feely person at all...but I loved it. Awesome.
But wait! It gets better and significantly less "is this just in my head!?"
WEDNESDAY = Prepare which basically means leadership meeting/eating dinner together at 5:45 all the way through Hard Questions and then Prepare @ 8 until like 9:30ish. Prepare was sweet as usual, of course, and i sat either next to josh or close by, so near the end we split up into small groups to pray, and i was in his group. We finished up kind of early so we ended up just talking and joking around, yay fun. Yay eye contact and smiles.
After Prepare we usually relocate to the CAF, and low and behold I end up walking over with Josh. I remember that were talking and i was asking him and Laura a question...and then I think Laura basically just disappeared, like she was just gone and I have no idea where she went. But i didnt even realize until later because I WAS TALKING TO JOSH. We run into J Snydes at the Caf, she is overjoyed to see us hanging out and being awesome independent of anyone else, yay. I have my guitar, and a couple of weeks ago I wrote her a song for her birthday, so J Snydes says,
"Hey, since you have your guitar...maybe you'd want to accompany Josh back to Co-Ed and come to my room and play for me?"
That J Snydes. So shifty. Soooo awesome.
Me: "Sure"
J Snydes: "Josh you can totally come up to, if you want"
Josh: "Well, since im already accompanying her over, sure"
Me: (internally) EEEEEEEEEEE!
We hang in the Caf for a bit and then head over to Jamie's, where I play two songs that I wrote, which Josh hears for the first time. Yes i was flaunting my abilities, No, you cannot blame me for it. J Snydes basically just works her magic and keeps us in the room, so by the end of things its been an hour. Basically, it was flirting and it was smiling and at certain points we were just talking and like Jamie was sorting through pictures to put up on her walls, so at certain points it was like she wasn't there hehe. She was showing us some of the pictures and I should mention that he did the "lean over shoulder to see the picture, oh did I indirectly touch you?" thing a couple times. Ahhhhhh! I could go into more details but basically it was awesome.
We finally are like "we need to go because its late and its wed night" and Josh mentions that he had to go to the bathroom like an hour ago. YOU HEAR THAT PEOPLE!? I had temporary precedence over bodily functions! That's got to mean something right? Awesome.
Jamie lives on 4th floor, Josh lives on 2nd....but he walks me all the way down do the doors. Oh man. Awesome end of an awesome day.
Did I mention I'm having lunch with him in like an hour? Oh, and then tonight after small group we're going to hang out, probably to watch the movie Canadian Bacon. Awesome.
