It's been a while...

The problem with not updating for like two weeks is that you sort of have to go down one of two roads. You can either recap EVERYTHING that happened, briefly, which will take a looooong time. Or you can just sort of skip it all and begin with what happened today. I don't really like either of these options, unfortunately.

I'll just go crazy nuts.

This past weekend I was in Maine. It was swell enough, although theres nothing more stressful than feeling like every single thing you do is being scrutinized and most likely will be used against you. Which is exactly how i feel up there. Especially when dealing with my uncle. Any little thing can set him off, and its really stuff you'd just consider to be small things. I am very much terrified of him, and you think if by now when I'm 19 I still am just scared for my physical well being, its not going to get any better as I get older. My mom is scared too, so theres a lot of awkward talk as to what happens my grandparents die and someone needs to take care of him. My aunt has sort of volunteered, but well, its tricky and stressful. I think if I could go back in time just once, I would stop that car from hitting him. Its amazing to think of how much would be different in my life, not to mention my mother's and my grandparents, if it had never happened.

On a more lighter note, when I came home Katie and Stacey and I went to Jeff' D's tag sale. I got a CD case and chalkboard for free yay. I was just thinking of how i could use something like that chalkboard or whiteboard for like, the inside of my dorm room as a sort of reminder board for myself, when walaaa. Here it is. For free!

I saw Hairspray (teh movie) a couple days ago with my mom. I wasn't too excited for it, as Susie and Rob had seen it and they didn't seem too thrilled. But I saw it AND LOVED IT. I think I've found my musical. You know that friend you have that watches Rent like 3 times a week? Or the one that wears that Les Mis tshirt biweekly? Well for those people, RENT is their musical, and Les Mis is their musical. My musical, I have discovered, is now Hairspray. When I was a kid it was Bye Bye Birdie (I watched it like 80 times, and didn't even own it!) and now, my heart must go on.

What can I say? Christopher Walken! Elijah Kelley as the really really really hot black guy! Amanda Bynes. AMANDA FRICKIN' BYNES! 3 years of my childhood were like dedicated to the Amanda Show. And before that All That. It's a movie about a fat girl with dreams! I can relate instantly!  Queen Latifah (who I have mucho respect for)! Racial Integration! Short interjections followed with exclamation points!

I just think its funny because Susie loved DreamGirls and that movie to me was good, but not amazing or anything. Funny how we differ on this one.

And now i shall end my post with a conversation I had with my friend Shiann today at work, to the best of my recollection:

Me: ...yeah and so its got Amanda Bynes in it.
Shiann: Yo, Amanda Bynes got hot! She grew up and now shes like hot!
Me: haha yeah. She's hilarious.
Shiann: She got hot! I mean, I don't swing that way, but like, if she wanted to have sex with me I'd be down.
Me: haha
Shiann: Like, if Lindsay Lohan or Amanda Bynes pointed me out and wanted to hit it, I'd be like "me!?!?!?!"
Me: haha.

Agreed.

Except for the Lindsay Lohan part. Too skanky.
